We just hooked up a super, original condition 1945-8ish Wedgewood stove, complete with griddle. The fire power on the cook top is pretty impressive. The griddle could be hotter, but it works pretty well. We are still acclimating ourselves to the oven's personality, so I will reserve judgment there.
Generally speaking, I'm pretty tickled with it. It helps that it is beautiful.
Speaking of beautiful, I have added some photo albums to the blog: house features, homesteading, Hilltop skies, and the forest around us. Take a look -- just click on the thumbnails at right.

Love the "new" stove and that pot is gorgeous too!

Hi1 I just found your blog through Nourishing Traditions. It's just great. I love this stove. It's just beautiful. Is it an original or a reproduction? Where can one find stove to purchase like this? Lisa

I really love the vintage stove as well. It adds so much character! I like it when homeowners use something that has been used previous or refinish an existing piece to get more use out of it.

Hey that looks graet. I remember my grandma's stove in 1969. Cute.

This is really a big fun to me. My grandparents used to cook with this in their country house.

What amazing stove...I have never taken on a staining project because it scares me. But I starred this post to come back to so that when we do take it on, that we do it correctly. Thanks for sharing!
